Frozen foods and alcohol have found favour with APAC consumers amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, garnering huge leaps in growth across various countries in the region amid lockdowns and tightening economics.

Functional beverages brands continue to attract acquisition offers as health focused consumers increase spend on this category.

Genki Forest is one of the fastest growing CPG brands globally. It recently closed a new round of funding led by Warburg Pincus and L Catterton at a $6b valuation. Yes SIX BILLION DOLLARS. The company was only founded in 2016. It does highlight the ability to win market share by identifying a new niche, in their case a low sugar low brix beverage.

Big Food Cos continue to look for access to start-ups focused on the latest snacking trends including plant-based, better-for-you, natural, clean label and functional.
