There continues to be so much confusion about brands, DTC (or D2C), DNVB, etc. We have always focused on one things at DSGCP. Partnering with entrepreneurs building the next generation of modern insurgent consumer brands, what we term internally as #insurgentbrands. They need to meet the customer where the customer expects to discover, trial and purchase that product or service. These brands may start as D2C or on the shelf of a MT or GT store but as it scales, expect the most successful brands develop playbooks across channels.

So many lessons here for growth stage companies.

As new media channels engage consumers, brands need to learn to navigate their marketing and customer acquisition spend to get noticed.

Large fund for a second fund but does highlight the demand from LPs for exposure to modern insurgent consumer brands (#MICBS or #insurgentbrands).
