Much ado about nothing? The debate whether a plant-based beverage can or cannot be called "milk" is ignoring the core issue at hand. Consumers are smart and are making a choice. For many different reasons, many consumers are reducing or stopping the consumption of dairy-based products and opting for plant-based alternatives. They know the difference. The dairy industry may want to protect the term "milk" or "dairy" but that will not change the demands of today's consumers. At DSGCP, plant-based consumption is a core theme in our playbook, and we have backed plant-based brands including Kind Kones, Growthwell, and Float Foods.
