What we’ve really learned over the past decade is that following Warby’s path — focusing on customer experience and brand in an industry that hasn’t; launching with e-commerce in a market where it’s under-utilized; selling entirely direct-to-consumer without third-party resellers — can either work or not work, and it’s going to be different on a case-by-case basis. But it has worked so far for Warby Parker.
